Black High-Waisted Stretch Flares

HELLO, I MADE SOME STRETCH PANTS. Pants that stretch. Oooh boy. I spent a full day worrying that these were dangerously close to yogi territory, but I’m hopeful that if I keep up my zero fitness lifestyle, and wear these only with crop tops and high heels, no one will confuse me for someone “mindful” or “calm.”

The fabric is thick and stretchy AF with ribbing and tiny white dots. The waistline is HIGH. The flares are FLARED. They’re too long for bare feet, so if I wear them at home, I have to walk around like fucking Zsa Zsa Gabor.

There’s not much to them – they’re just stretch pants. They feel pretty hot, though.

Oh yeah and I made that lace top awhile ago.

This is a great shot for people who think/know I’m full of myself.

Pants, though.

For Halloween, I’m thinking of going as an insufferable blogger ghost who follows you around saying “I made that. And I made that. Oh look, I made this.” GOODBYE.

Sequined Dragon Top

HELLO, I MADE A SEQUINED DRAGON TOP. Late last week, I found a full yard remnant of blue sequined stretch fabric at Jo-ann (of all unholy places). The quality is surprisingly great – not scratchy at all – and set me back a full $7.50. I thought about matching short sleeves, and instead opted for long, silk charmeuse in bright kelly green.

Then I added embroidered dragon appliques, because life is depressing.

The appliques were a family decision, because are they too much? Are they not enough? Can I wear this to dinner, even though I already made plans to go to a Chinese restaurant?

A single covered button in green velvet, because #luxury.

I wore it anyway, and the server noticed immediately and embarrassed me for eternity.

The sleeves and silhouette make this casual enough for jeans, but the sequins make it sequiny enough for everything else.

I really need to start making pants, you guys. GOODBYE.
